Ajewelation

Praiseworthy Jewelry

About the Artist

A native of Proctor, Vermont, I grew up in a family that encouraged the arts in all forms. My parents felt that art was an important part of learning how to express oneself. Art was every bit as important as any other subject in school. The Vermont Marble Company was in its "golden era" and our community was made up of wonderful artisans from all over the world. It was a very diverse and colorful place to live.

I began making jewelry in high school for friends and myself. Later, after my youngest son finished school, I found my way back to some of the things I had enjoyed doing years before. I began to think of my jewelry not as a hobby, but as a way to stay connected with myself and to contribute to the family budget.

The name ajewelation is a play on the word adulation, which means excessive praise or flattery. You will find that my jewelry definitely flatters the person wearing it.
